Hatakaze is a four piece rock band based out of Sydney Australia. Formed in 2017 the current lineup consists of Ryan Cramp (Vox/guitar) Ashley Clements (Guitar) Louisa Harbidge (Bass) and Chris Dewsbury (Drums), Hatakaze takes influence from such artists as Foo Fighters Rise Against and Jimmy Eat World.

Hatakaze released their debut single in mid 2017 titled ‘Heavy Heart’ which has racked up over 50 000 streams on Spotify and featured on Spotify’s “Local Noise” playlist. Heavy Heart also received extensive radio play through FBi Radio and Triple J among other nationwide community stations.

Triple J’s Dom Alessio wrote “Hatakaze go full throttle into their debut tune and the result is a high-octane ride through anthemic choruses and waves of distortion”.

Following Heavy Heart Hatakaze released ‘On My Knees’ from their forthcoming EP in which Triple J Unearthed music director Dave Ruby Howe described it as “kicking plenty of tuches” and added the song to rotation on the digital platform along with Heavy Heart.

Recorded by Daniel Malesev at Def Wolf Studios Hatakaze’s debut self-titled EP released in January 2018 and saw Hatakaze playing alongside Aussie Rock ’n’ Roll heavyweights Gyroscope on the SOLD OUT Sydney leg of their “Tour Of Crooked Thought” at Oxford Art Factory.

Fast Forward 12 short months and a slew of shows around Australia, Hatakaze release their brand new single ‘Questions’ (recorded at The Grove/Def Wolf Studios) and announce a trip to Canada to take part in Canadian Music Week 2019.
