The band originally began performing shows across the city, until the release of their first single “Nomu” which generated a huge online response and an overnight fanbase for the band. The band has made a lot of noise within the Toronto music scene and has played with some solid indie rock names – including Hollerado, The Screaming Females, Vista Kicks, Hooded Fang and Kasador. They have been releasing singles on Spotify, where they have reached over one million plays, and continue to connect with +17,000 monthly listeners.
The band has already gotten several plays on CBC radio, has been featured in the Toronto Star, and were runner-ups for the Indie 88 “Make History” talent search showcase in 2017. With each successful release – and their long anticipated debut EP coming in April – Good Kid continues to solidify their role as one of Canada’s most promising young indie groups, as well as pulling in a dedicated fanbase from countries all around the world.
