2-time JUNO Award winner Donné Roberts is a guitarist, singer and songwriter from Toronto Canada. Donné came to wider recognition in Canada after he released his albums “Rhythm Was Born” in 2006, “Internation” in 2012, “Onward” in 2018 and for his contribution to the different musical projects such as the African Guitar Summit and the Okavango The African Orchestra. Donné was born in Madagascar, raised and educated in Moscow USSR and now lives in Toronto. He fluently speaks four languages: English, French, Russian and Malagasy. He performs mainly in Malagasy his mother tongue from his birthplace of Madagascar, yet this never proves to be a barrier to the audience, providing living proof that music truly does transcend language.
