After growing up singing in musical theatre, Nigerian-Canadian artist Del started rapping at age 14 and has since, uniquely combined both skills to create a distinct genre of music. Being born in Nigeria, and raised in Tanzania, Mauritius, Kenya and now Canada, Del’s music blends cultures and sounds from across the world.

Del’s debut EP, Glen Road, was released in June 2016, which helped him gain a foothold in the local music community, as well as connect with producers around the world. After a number of singles, Del released a more polished sound in his second project, Songs About Her, in November 2018. With lyrics such as, “Took my time trynna craft all the lines, stick to the script no tricks or hidden lies,” Songs About Her takes you on the journey of a young relationship, starting from the end and working its way backwards. It is inspired by summer in Toronto and combines catchy melodies with heartfelt lyricism overtop an upbeat soundscape.

With an eclectic range of influences from Anderson .Paak, Drake and Kendrick Lamar to Fela Kuti, Break Bot and Phoenix, Del hopes to craft a new sound in music.

Del released the single, “Love Letter,” in February 2019 and has more music set to release throughout 2019.
