In tune with Montreal’s musical eclecticism, Caracol is an artist with an atypical background. Her new album ”Symbolism” once again demonstrates her abilities in a brilliant way. Cultivating her singularity, the prolific singer-songwriter stands out for her particular vocal tone, her talent as a melodist and the bold use of vocal rhythms to create a bilingual universe where electro and organic, indie and alternative pop, modular synthesizers and tribal percussion mix seamlessly. Her new record, released last November via Indica Records, is currently charting in College Radios across Canada (#38 National Earshot Charts) and the single ”Flooded Field” already has over 160 000 Spotify streams. Over the course of her career, Caracol has released 4 albums (2 English, 2 French) all of which have been distributed internationally and supported by extensive touring in Canada & Europe – both as a headliner and as support for bands such as: Beacon, Chaz Bundick (Toro y Moi), Half Moon Run, Serena Ryder, The Bangles. She is also active in the publishing scene, writing songs for other artists and producing music for film.
