Legendary Canadian punks The Black Halos formed in 1994 in Vancouver and signed with Sub Pop in ’98. They released their self-titled debut in ’99 and toured extensively throughout the US and Canada with the likes of L7, Murder City Devils, and Zeke. Their second album, The Violent Years spawned a single and video for Some Things Never Fall and the band made their first of what would be many successful trips to Europe. After a number of line-up changes and 2 more albums, the band finally called it a day in 2008. In 2016, original members Billy Hopeless and Rich Jones reunited for a tour of Spain and in 2019 original guitarist Jay Millette re-joined the band. The re-united line-up now includes bassist John Kerns (The Age Of Electric) and drummer Danni Action (Midnight Towers, ACIIDZ) and their CMW show is their first live appearance in Canada in over a decade.
