‘Southern-fried rock from Canada? Yep.’’ – Alan Cross
Hailing from across Ontario and Quebec the members of Taming Sari form an eclectic and unlikely bilingual group. With a new sound to the playground, they infuse a classic rock and blues feel to modern day rock and roll. Taming Sari is defined by their high-energy live performances and creative music videos.
Opening for larger acts such as the Planet Smashers, The Lazys, JJ Wilde, and Crown Lands was made possible following the success of their debut album ‘’Thirsty from The Drought’’. Their single ‘Crazy’ opened more doors for the group by hitting #35 on the Canadian Active Rock Charts. ‘Crazy’ surpassed 200k streams on Spotify, and combined with the first album’s streams, the band has over half a million plays on the platform.
The band was recently awarded funding from the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) to record a sophomore album with Toronto producer Ross Hayes Citrullo who has been working with the band for over 5 years. The new album’s first single ‘Too Little Too Late’ is set to be released in spring 2023 with a summer album release tour in the works.
