Roxanne Kloihofer is a talented Cuban-Austrian singer-songwriter, known for her emotive music and deep lyrics reflecting her personal experiences and struggle for authenticity. Born in uba and raised in the Bahamas, she currently resides in Montreal, where she has established her career as an artist. From an early age, Roxanne showed a passionate interest in music and composition, experimenting with different styles and genres in multiple languages. Her music is a unique fusion of cultural
influences, from the rich sounds of traditional African and Cuban music to the vibes of European culture and Austrian folklore. As an active member of the LGBTQ+ community and a vegan since the age of 16, Roxanne has faced significant challenges on her journey to authenticity. Her adolescence in Cuba, a country marked by homophobia and discrimination , was especially difficult, but these obstacles only served to strengthen her determination and commitment to her identity and values. Roxanne’s music is a power ful expression of her deepest experiences and emotions. Through her compositions, she seeks to convey a message of hope and solidarity to those who feel lonely or misunderstood. Despite the darkness that sometimes permeates her songs, Roxanne always seeks the light believing in the healing and transformative power of art. Inspired by artists such as Lana Del Rey, Nina Simone, Enigma, and Enya, Roxanne has developed a unique and distinctive style that blends elements from different genres and musical traditions. Her innovative approach to music production dates back to her childhood in Cuba, where she began experimenting with the Fruity Loop Studio youth development program. Recently, Roxanne has been introduced to producer and composer Stef ano Pando, with whom she will collaborate On the production of her first officialEP, “In-Sane” scheduled for release in fall 2024. With this project, Roxanne hopes to bring her music to a wider audience and continue inspiring others with her authentic and moving art.
