Musician and multi-instrumentalist Nick Mailloux has a lifelong passion for creating and playing music. Writing songs and performing live is a kind of a therapy for the Montreal-based artist as it allows him to better share his feelings and say things he could not say other than by the voice of an instrument. Dedicated to creating heartfelt music that combines rhythm and harmony, his work mainly results in an eclectic unique blend of rock, pop and blues.
At an early age he would spend countless hours on his father’s knee discovering every kind of music. In his teenage years, he decided to pick up the guitar and practice all the greatest guitar riffs and solos. His love for music then led him to play in rock bands (Fifty Nutz, Art of Life, The Everything Else) in which he had the opportunity to gain a lot of maturity as a musician. From 2000 to 2016, he recorded a bunch of releases (2 albums, 3 EPs) with these bands and played many great events and venues (Montebello Rock, Vans Warped Tour, Bell Centre), mainly in the province of Quebec but also in the rest of Canada and in the USA. Collaborating with other artists and teaching music to the next generation of musicians also contributed to establishing himself as a renowned musician in the Montreal area.
Being active for two decades, Nick Mailloux’s focus was then more oriented towards taking care of his family and two daughters. As new ideas emerged from this new lifestyle, he started to work on a bunch of songs in his home studio, playing and recording all the instruments himself. Excited by these new ideas and enchanted by his daughters’ liking and singing the songs, he decided to conceptualize “Resilience”, his first solo album. With these 11 pieces, Nick Mailloux is presenting a musical journey where he explores, without boundaries, new songs inspired by his musical roots, crazy stories and his family experiences.

In response to a question that can never be answered Fatal Switch asks questions of its own as the art of storytelling meets the mayhem of drums and the insanity of guitars. It gives life to a universe that lives outside the music and rewrites its own pages through innovative, audience engaging innovations that brings its concept to a platform that currently does not exist.
Fatal Switch’s debut album Doctors & Demons was produced by Kevin Jardine (guitarist for Slaves On Dope), it was recorded at Uplift Studios in Montreal. Frontman Steve Tobin and Kevin worked together to craft the compositions that shaped this hybrid project into a unique album utilizing Kevin’s knowledge of arrangements and Steve’s lyrics that drive the emotional charge of the record. The album was mastered by Ryan Morey (Arcade Fire, Priestess, etc..) and released through Believe Digital.
The band is currently writing new material for their second studio album. The band<s line up consists of rhythm guitarist Ryann Paqueo, Drummer Ralph A Samah, lead guitarist Max Rope and David Vigliotti taking up the bass to round out the rhythm section. The band has released three singles and videos for Heartless, Who We Are and Doctors & Demons. All where added on rotation on Stingray Music in Canada, Fatal Switch keeps evolving as its fanbase keeps growing on its journey to deliver on the album’s studio success. Their ambition to foster the support of their fans is the fuel that drives their mission to be the most unique band in the music industry.
