Juan Soto

Originally from Mexico City, Juan Soto began his career as an independent music producer and DJ in 2006 and since then he has been active in various fields of electronic music, forming part of the duo called Moon Runner and also collaborating with artists from the Mexican and international scene. such as: Bufi, Avanti, Rodion, Future Feelings, Technicolor Fabrics, Futurista, Altoparlante, Trans- X, Nomi Ruiz and Zemmoa among others…

He has excelled as a producer, singer, dj, teacher, lyricist and composer and has shared the stage with Tame Impala, Simian Mobile Disco, Hercules And Love Affair, Benjamin Diamond, Rodion, Gavin Russom, Pete Herbert, Nancy Wang, Bottin, Azari & III , Bufi, La Royale, Future Feelings, Shiro Schwarz, Wet Baes, Nuuro and others, as well as appearing at Mexican festivals such as: Ceremonia, Bahidorá, Vive Latino, Trópico and the Children’s Book Fair, where he live scored the film “The CameraMan ”by Edward Sedgwick and Buster Keaton (1928).

Thanks to his passion for sharing his musical tastes, he made it a true profession as a DJ in the nightclubs of Mexico City such as: Leonor, Pasaje América, Pasagüero, La Bipo, M.N. Roy, Rhodesia, Otto Bar, Mono, AM, Rioma, Bar Oriente, and international clubs and bars such as Moog in Barcelona, Hotel Costes or Chez Moune in Paris. He is also the founder of the independent music production academy called “KARATE AUDIO” that has coached more than 20 generations of students, of which the following stand out: Tayrell, Fausto, Kris Berle and Wet Baes among a few more.
