A prominent fixture in Newfoundland and Labrador’s pop-country music community, Carolina East has been hauling in a steady-stream of musical nominations since 2018. For two years running (2018 and 2019) Carolina East won herself Country Artist of the Year at the Music NL Awards. In 2021, Carolina earned her spot as one of eight semi-finalists in Sirius XM’s Top of the Country competition. Most recently, Country Recording of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year, at the 2022 East Coast Music Awards. To date, Carolina East has shared the stage with Allan Doyle, Boney M, Dallas Smith, and has opened up for various artists including Kane Brown, Blue Rodeo, Meghan Patrick, James Barker Band, and Jade Eagleson.

In addition to creating music, community and inclusivity are at the top of Carolina’s list of passions. As a member of the Mi’Kmaq Qalipu tribe herself, Carolina is a vocal advocate for the ‘Orange Ribbon’ and ‘Every Child Matters’ Campaigns and was the first artist in the local music community to use a sign language interpreter at her live performances. She was also recently acknowledged and inducted into the accelerator program for Indigenous creators on Tiktok (@carolina.east.music). Carolina East is set to release a string of new music in 2023, with a new album in the works
