Susan Wheeler is Vice-President, Regulatory and Content Distribution, Media with Rogers Communications Inc. and is responsible for all regulatory matters related to Rogers’ media holdings including its 55 radio stations, Citytv and OMNI television networks and 7 specialty services. In May 2019 Susan added the role of Content Distribution to her portfolio of responsibility and oversees the distribution of Rogers Media’s content across traditional and non-traditional platforms.

Prior to joining Rogers in 2007 she was Vice-President, Policy and Regulatory Affairs for the Canadian Association of Broadcasters; an Ottawa-based trade association representing Canada’s private broadcasters.

Susan is an active member of the Canadian creative industry and is currently the Treasurer of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters’ Board of Directors and Chairs the organization’s Copyright Committee. She also sits on the Board of the Canadian Broadcasters Rights Agency and was formerly the Chair of FACTOR, a national music funding agency funded by private radio broadcasters and the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage. Susan is also a former Director of the Women in Communications and Technology Board of Directors.

A native of New Brunswick, Susan is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Political Science from McGill University and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of New Brunswick. Prior to joining the CAB Susan practiced law in Halifax.
