Mark Spicoluk is the Senior Director of A&R for Universal Music Canada as well as the long time Founder & Owner of indie music company Underground Operations. Mark has discovered, signed, and helped develop artists like Protest The Hero, Abandon All Ships, LIGHTS, Stereos, Reema Major, The Envy and many others. He also works with Gene Simmons as A&R for Simmons Records, and was a judge on Much Music’s discovery television show Disband. Mark played bass with Sum41 and was the original bass player for Avril Lavigne. He also released records worldwide & toured in dozens of countries with his own band Closet Monster. He continues to write and produce with a variety of artists in the studio to this day.
