Randy Eckhardt, currently providing a leadership role with music supervision/licensing, artist endorsements and strategic partnerships for the soon to be released “BANDFUSE: ROCK LEGENDS” game has nearly two decades of experience driving high profile business initiatives that span the music and interactive entertainment landscape. Eckhardt is exceedingly skilled at navigating an ever-changing industry, leveraging the latest technologies when it comes to business development, interactive and mobile content licensing, and music supervision for top entertainment brands.

Early on in his career, Eckhardt played an instrumental role in bridging mainstream music with the video game industry by negotiating some of the first soundtrack deals for Electronic Arts in mid 90’s as the Director of Music Relations, serving the company for 8 years.

As principal at Eckhardt Consulting, Inc., Randy spearheaded the very first music supervision, licensing and strategic alliances with household brands such as Gibson Guitars, MTV and Guitar World, for what would become the number on selling video game franchise in history “GUITAR HERO”. Over the course of the franchise’s growth, Eckhardt Consulting also directed many of its live event promotions including sponsorships, onsite activation and radio promotional tie-ins. Before starting his own consulting company in 2005, Eckhardt served as the Vice President of Music Supervision & Business Development (Interactive) at On Board Entertainment, then went on to serve as Vice President of Music Supervision & Business Development (Interactive), with Rock River Communications.

Earlier in his career, Eckhardt worked with Billboard Magazine and CBS Radio.

Eckhardt currently serves on the Board of the Blue Bear School of Music, speaks at Midem, Sync Up, Canadian Music Week, NARIP, annual music conferences and events, and can frequently be found playing guitar with other talented friends and musicians. He earned his BA at the University of Texas at Austin.
