As a devoted concert lover and Beyoncé enthusiast, Vanessa Hoffer has built a career around her passion for live music, developing her foundation and early knowledge at Durham College in the Music Business Management program. Her natural, keen understanding of the industry was born at Durham College but took off when she entered the business at leading global concert promoter, Live Nation, shortly after her first industry job at the Eggplant Entertainment and Bernie Breen Management office. Working within the Live Nation talent buying team on club, arena and stadium business, over the last 7 years, Vanessa has been mentored by the best promoters in the country. Working closely for Denise Ross, Vice President of Talent, she’s worked on hundreds of shows each year contributing to the day to day success in Live Nation Toronto’s growing booking business. Vanessa’s role at Live Nation has also led her to manage Artist Relations annually on many of Live Nation’s top Toronto festivals and special events such as Field Trip, Bud Light Dreams, CBC Music Festival and OVO. Her diverse experience and ambition in booking and special projects has fostered a strong industry network and a unique understanding of the common goals within the business that contribute to Vanessa’s success in her current role and beyond. With a love for A+R and emerging artists, Vanessa keeps her ear to the ground on up-and-coming music and with a long list of ones to watch can often be found at concerts around the city.
