A native of Calgary, Candice Hanson is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, in Toronto. She first practised with Peter Steinmetz at Cassels, Brock et al in Toronto, later moving to Los Angeles to join the entertainment law firm (now known as) Bloom Hergott Diemer Rosenthal LaViolette Feldman Schenkman & Goodman, LLP, one of the leading entertainment law firms in the world. Bloom Hergott represents a select clientele of "A-list" actors, directors, writers and producers in the motion pictures, television and related industries, as well as new talent.

Candice is familiar with all facets of the entertainment industry, including music, television and feature films. Her practice focuses primarily on representing musicians in the various aspects of their careers, such as recording, songwriting, music publishing, merchandising, personal appearances, hosting, film scoring, acting, television and internet, and representing songwriters, composers, music supervisors, and producers. Candice also specializes in the use of music in film, television and audiovisual productions, soundtrack albums, and the commissioning of original scores, songs and master recordings for soundtracks.

Having represented artists as diverse as Daft Punk, U2 and Ry Cooder, most recently, Candice represented one of the leads in Glee in negotiating a recording agreement with Columbia Records, and represented last year's Top 40 American Idol 2013 contestants in negotiating seven agreements with 19 Entertainment, one of the producers of the series.
