After 21 years at Universal Music and EMI Music, Fraser Hill now leads frazietrain productions, Inc., an independent music consulting company specializing in A&R Consulting and Artist Development.
Currently, Fraser is the A&R Casting Director for CTV’s The Launch music series leading the search for the best new talent throughout Canada. He is also consulting for music labels and artists.
In the past five years, Fraser has enjoyed significant success with Juno-winners Serena Ryder, Dear Rouge (Juno Award winners for Best Breakthrough Group), Shawn Hook, July Talk as well as the CCMA-nominated artist Wes Mack. Most recently, at the 2018 Juno’s, The James Barker Band won Best Country Album for Game On which Fraser A&R’d. (“Lawn Chair Lazy” was The Highest Charting Debut Single Ever by a Canadian Artist at Country Radio!).
He has worked with a long list of celebrated Canadian artists including Anne Murray, Nikki Yanofsky, Tom Cochrane, The Grapes of Wrath, The Northern Pikes, These Kids Wear Crowns, Stabilo, David Usher, Sarah Brightman, and The Watchmen.
