Farley Flex is best known as a judge on Canada’s most viewed television show
EVER! Canadian Idol. He was also the manager of Canada’s most successful
rapper Maestro Fresh-Wes, the founding Music Director, Director of Business
Development and Radio Host at the award winning, FLOW 93.5. In addition to
his current role as President and CEO of Plasma Management & Productions Inc., Flex
has also been a music supervisor for film and television. Flex was named Media
Personality of the Year and received the Special Achievement Award at the
Canadian Urban Music Association Awards in 2006.
Flex is a long time jury member on MuchFACT, the Canadian Talent Development initiative under Much Music's condition of license with the CRTC.
With a tremendous passion for community development Flex has gained
recognition as a social activist, master mentor and humanitarian. He is the 2007
recipient of the Harry Jerome Award for Entertainment and Community Service
and the 2005 and 2009 recipient of the Bob Marley Community Role Model
Award for community Service and Education. Flex has had two high school
scholarships at Woburn Collegiate Institute and Leaside Collegiate established in
his name. His not for profit company R.E.A.L. School ( Reality Education and Applied Life Skills) is currently being utilized as a key mechanism for engaging youth in pro-social behaviour while developing transferable, employable and entrepreneurial skills. Flex’s charity Helping Hands International a registered charity, assists marginalized individuals in athletics, community and social developments associated with education.

A leading motivational speaker internationally, Flex has done extensive
work motivating youth in Priority Neighbourhoods, First Nation’s and other
marginalized communities. He is a National Ambassador to UNICEF and a
member of the Special Advisory Council to the League of Human Rights.
Flex is the Vice President of Grassroots Canada Basketball the organization
partially responsible for the careers of 2012 NBA first round draft picks Tristan
Thompson and Corey Joseph. Flex is the Director of Business Development
at Canada’s first national black television network Afroglobal Television, set to
launch in the fall of 2013.
