Nik Goodman

Nik Goodman is a UK radio executive who has worked in the industry for over 25 years. He started his career in radio alongside the legendary record producer Pete Waterman at Radio City in his native Liverpool during the late 1980’s. After graduating from Bournemouth University with a BA (Hons) degree in Radio Production, he returned to Radio City as a features producer, and was later given an on-air role.
He then worked as an on-air presenter at Power FM and was appointed their Head of Music. After 3 successful years there, Nik was recruited as Head of Music for UK national station Virgin Radio, working alongside then owner Chris Evans. During this time, he was promoted to Programme Manager and helped steer the station to record audience and revenue figures.
Following the sale of Virgin Radio, Nik joined London’s Kiss 100 where he produced the Sony Award winning Morning Show - ‘Bam Bam Breakfast’. Further success came as the Programme Director tasked to re-launch the heritage brand Radio Forth in Edinburgh, again delivering record audience figures and winning more awards.
He returned to London as a Programme Director for the Capital FM Network, overseeing the programming strategy for Capital’s heritage stations outside of before being asked to become Programme Director of 95.8 Capital FM in London, working closely developing on-air talent and maintaining the position of Number 1 Commercial Station in the highly competitive London marketplace.
Post Capital FM, he founded a consultancy business focusing on music, programming, and content development for radio stations in both established and developing markets. The company works with clients across the world, and with many market leading and national stations.
Nik also runs a creative audio production company. ‘Bounce’ develops and produces music, sound and content for both brands and broadcasters with clients ranging from the BBC and Microsoft, through to producing to the soundtrack to London’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks. He is also one of the organisers of Radiodays Europe, the biggest European radio conference.
