Andrea Castillo is the Director of Emerging Business Partnerships for NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. In this role, she is responsible for corporate relationships and increasing product revenue opportunities for the Telemundo Enterprises portfolio of innovative digital products such as augmented & virtual reality and conversational interfaces. Castillo is tasked with strategically analyzing, launching and optimizing new audience and revenue streams by collaborating with various NBCUniversal and other stakeholders.
Previously, Castillo was Manager of Digital & Social Media Partnerships for NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. In that role, she was responsible for leading the monetization of digital and social media branded initiatives on multi-platforms, including desktop, mobile, VOD and social TV. She managed the delivery of program elements and served as the liaison between clients and internal stakeholders.
Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Castillo worked as Master Control Operator and Production Assistant at a local Telemundo affiliate in Texas (KTLM-TV) Telemundo 40. In this role, she participated in the production of the local newscast as camera operator and floor manager and was in charge of ensuring a successful transmission of local programming and commercial spots and served as substitute news and weather reporter for the local newscast.
Castillo holds a B.A. in Communications & Broadcast Journalism from University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (formerly known as University of Texas Pan-American) and an M.A. in Communication Arts & Hispanic Media from St. Thomas University.
