Tim Moher

Belmont Village Bestival
Kitchener, ON, Canada
Tim Moher, founder of Belmont Village Bestival (2017), has been passionate about music his entire life. A graduate of Music Education from Western University, Tim is now a retired music teacher from the Waterloo Catholic District School Board. After 28 years in the classroom, Tim is excited to further pursue his passion of music as a performer and bring music to the people. One such pursuit is the inaugural music festival in Belmont Village, Kitchener. This eclectic music and arts festival was a huge success from the get go. Tim successfully canvassed support from the neighbouring businesses and from the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund. Beginning as a sole venture, his team grew to approximately 10 committee members and 30 ‘day of’ volunteers. He scheduled five performance areas including headline acts (Sultans of String, My Son the Hurricane) and various local performers, community bands, choirs and music/art experiences for young and old alike. Presently, he is continuing to forge ahead with the 2nd Annual Belmont Village Bestival slated for September 15, 2018.
