Colton Eddy

The Strombo Show
Bowmanville, ON, Canada
Colton Eddy is a producer and content programmer on CBC Radio 2′s The Strombo. He has also worked as a freelance writer, contributing to Sportsnet's Hockey Night in Canada, CBC Radio One’s Here And Now, CBC Music, Huffington Post, CHARTattack, Exclaim!, indie88 and AUX, among others.

He proudly serves as juror both at FACTOR (Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings), a non-profit that helps develop talent in the Canadian music industry and the PRISM Prize, to recognize the artistry of the modern music video in Canada.

Formerly a producer and researcher on CBC Television’s George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight, his interest in the exploration of the musical realm began with cold calls to request songs on CFNY, back when covering The Darkness was cool (it still is). He’ll willingly debate the enduring importance of that town in north Ontario to the checker-board floors of the Horseshoe Tavern, especially if it involves a cold beer and sharing records. He also writes his bios in third person.
