Emmanuelle is the Cultural and Creative industries Officer for the City of Montréal, where the music industry is considered a key-player in the cultural, social and economic vitality of the city. She accompanies and facilitates projects that have a structuring impact and she contributes to the strategic development of the City and its cultural and creative sectors. She is part of a team elaborating the City’s renewal of its Cultural Public Policy. Her work includes, notably, supporting the exportation of cultural products including live music, contributing to a thriving environment that supports and sustains the music industry local ecosystem and playing a key role in the strategic work regarding the venues. She is also a member of the Steering Committee of Music Cities Convention. Prior to working for the City, she was a cultural entrepreneur who cofounded MU, a not-for-profit organization who aims to beautify Montréal by producing murals. She has an extensive experience in the Entertainment business acquired while touring with Cirque du Soleil, working with Équipe Spectra (Montréal International Jazz Festival) and Just for Laughs. She holds a Master’s Degree in political science from McGill University.
