Tyson Parker is responsible for managing relationships within the artist and talent community as well as the wider music industry in English Canada as it pertains to Bell Media’s premium portfolio of TV, radio, and digital brands. Parker and his team work closely to grow market share and revenue through strategic alliances, and will help develop and implement strategies to create profitable synergies between artists and Bell Media’s brands, viewers, and listeners.
Previously the Vice-President, Communications and Artist Relations for Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, Parker led Universal’s artist relations efforts, supporting key Universal artists such as Bryan Adams, Drake, Katy Perry, Shania Twain, The Tragically Hip, Sam Roberts Band, and Eminem as well as Canada's newest breakout star The Weeknd, among others. Additionally, Parker was also responsible for Universal’s philanthropic policy.
Parker has worked closely with Bell Media on music properties such as the MMVAs, THE JUNO AWARDS, and WE DAY for many years, and works closely with music industry governing bodies Music Canada and CARAS on industry policy. He also sits on the MusiCounts Advisory board.
