Andrew Sparkler

Andrew is the Vice President of Business Affairs & Operations at Downtown Music Publishing. In this role, he supervises Downtown's direct relationships with both domestic and international collection societies, manages integration between Downtown's business affairs, administration and technology departments and develops new business opportunities for the company’s client roster.

He was previously Vice President, Business & Membership Affairs for ASCAP, overseeing some of the organization’s highest profile songwriter, composer and publisher relationships. An expert in performing rights administration, Andrew initially joined ASCAP as Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs in 2008. Previously, he was an associate at Beldock, Levine & Hoffman and Schulte Roth and Zabel. Sparkler is a graduate of Brown University and Fordham University School of Law. In addition to his work at Downtown, Andrew is also a co-founder and former President, of the Dave Nee Foundation, an organization whose mission is to eliminate the stigma associated with depression and suicide, particularly among law students. He was voted the New York State Bar Association's "Outstanding Young Lawyer" in 2009.
