Iain Shedden is music writer and critic for The Australian newspaper, Australia's national daily broadsheet. Over the past 20 years he has interviewed some of the biggest names in popular music and writes profiles, commentary, news, features, reviews and a weekly column, Spin Doctor, in The Weekend Australian's Review section. Iain is also an experienced commentator and brings his expertise to industry conferences as a speaker, panelist, and interviewer. He is a trained journalist and was also a professional drummer, most successfully with Australian rock band The Saints. His first book, “Hey You in the Black T-Shirt”, co-written with (and an autobiography of) Australian rock promoter Michael Chugg, was published by Pan MacMillan in 2010.

The Australian is the country's biggest-selling national daily broadsheet.
