Didier Zerath has more than 25 years experience in the music industry and decided to create The DZ Factory in 2012 to combine two passions: a passion for the music industry and a passion for company creation and the economy of the music industry.

Before creating The DZ Factory, a company dedicated to the management of artists, and a consulting company for the music industry, he held positions in companies such as EMI Music Europe Continentale, as European Marketing Director Capitol Records, based in London, Marketing Director Warner Music France, Marketing Manager EMI France and BMG Records in Paris.

After leaving Warner Music France he moved towards artist management and created Music Manager Forum France in 1999 a French artist manager organization and was a founding member of the International Music Manager Forum in 2000, of which he was a member of the board of directors until 2005. Between 2013 and 2015 he was the treasurer of IMMF and the head of IMMF European committee.
IMMF is an international organization present in more than 41 countries through 22 organizations.

In 2014 he is a founding member and president of AMA, Alliance of Managers of Artists, association of artist managers and sole representative of the IMMF in France.

In 2015 he created EMIC, European Music Industry Consulting Group, a group of European music industry consultants present in the most important European markets and in 2016 The Recording Village, a label specialized in artist development and distributed by InGrooves worldwide.

Didier Zerath was interim CEO of Disky France, an international project manager for Yacast, a media monitoring company.

Didier Zerath is part of working groups on the music industry created by the European Commission's Directorate General for Culture and Education, focused on all the problems faced by the new ecosystem of the music industry.

He regularly speaks at Midem, MaMA in France, Medimex in Italy, Coliseum in Saint Petersburg in Russia, GMA in Taiwan, SonicVisions in Luxembourg on topics such as the sharing of value on the internet, big data / Smart data, transparency and fairness, artist management in the new ecosystem of the music industry.
