Dan Rosen is the Chief Executive Officer of ARIA and PPCA, the two peak bodies for the Australian recorded music industry. ARIA is a leading advocate for the music industry with Government, and responsible for the weekly ARIA Charts and staging the ARIA Awards. PPCA represents thousands of Australian recording artists and labels by providing licenses of their recorded works to over 55,000 businesses.

Prior to his current role, Dan was based in New York working as a key Executive for KIT Digital, a digital media company, which he help take from start-up to a public listing on the NASDAQ.

Before leaving for the United States, Dan worked as an Advisor to the Federal Minister of Communications and the Arts, The Hon. Senator Richard Alston, responsible for broadband and innovation policy. Dan started his career as a lawyer with Minter Ellison, specializing in media and tech clients and worked on numerous successful IPOs and mergers and acquisitions.

Dan has been on both sides of the music business. As a musician and songwriter, his band won the prestigious Triple J Unearthed competition in 2004. He has since independently released two albums and toured extensively throughout the United States and Australia, with his songs appearing in US Network and Cable shows.
He is Fulbright Scholar who completed his Masters of Law at New York University, and holds undergraduate degrees in Law with First Class Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University, Melbourne.
