Jesse Kumagai

VP Talent Canada,
Live Nation Canada
Toronto, ON, Canada
Jesse Kumagai is the Vice President of Talent for Live Nation Canada and was the Director of Programming for The Corporation of Massey Hall & Roy Thomson Hall for more than a decade before joining Live Nation in February 2014. He led the expansion of the Corporation’s role to include investments in artist and audience development, providing new opportunities for Canadian music. Today, over half of all artists presented by the Corporation are Canadian, proudly holding their own in the company of the international stars gracing the very same stages.

In addition to his professional duties, Jesse has been an active volunteer throughout his career. He currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Yonge Dundas Square Board of Management and is a member of the Unison Benevolent Fund Board. He is a former board member of the Canadian Arts Presenting Association and the Small World Music Society. He regularly contributes his time to the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, co-chairing and participating in several advisory committees.

In his spare time he provides artist management services, participates in fundraising bike rides, attends concerts and plays the guitar poorly.
