Keiko Tsuyama

Keiko Tsuyama is a freelance journalist based in New York and she is Canadian Prime Minister Publishing Award Winner for her book, ‘Canada; Secrets of a Mysterious Digital Power’.

She is a columnist fro the Wall Street Journal Japan (online) and Nikkei Business Online. The U.S. Business executives she interviewed include Mr. Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s CEO, Mr. Eric Schmidt, Google’s former CEO, Mr. Steve Chen, founder of YouTube and Mr. Ted Turner, founder of CNN. She writes for prestigious magazines in Japan such as AERA (published by Asahi Newspaper). Through these media, she reports business focused news, political news and cultural feature stories as well.

She covered the 2008 presidential election for AERA from the Iowa caucuses to the Presidential Inauguration Day. Prior to freelancing, Ms. Tsuyama was a senior business news correspondent for Kyodo News, the largest news-wire service in Japan. As a correspondent in New York from 2003 to 2006, she covered market and business news.

Tsuyama received her Bachelor’s Degree from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
