Ko Enomoto

General Manager,
Hostess Entertainment Unlimited
Tokyo, Japan
Ko Enomoto currently serves as General Manager at Hostess Entertainment, a Japanese music company launched in 2000 in Tokyo. Hostess Entertainment works on behalf of Artists, Managements and Labels to represent their rights in Japan where the company regularly commands the largest market share of western music sales beneath the majors, and across NE and SE Asia.

Artists releasing directly through Hostess across the region include Atoms for Peace, Beck, Bloc Party, Radiohead, Sigur Ros and Sonic Youth. The company exclusively represents label groups and labels including The Beggars Group (XL/4AD/Matador/Rough Trade), Domino Recording Co, The PIAS Entertainment Group, Secretly Canadian / Jagjaguwar, Fat Possum and many more, through which Hostess release artists such as Adele, Animal Collective, Arctic Monkeys, Bon Iver, Gotye, Mogwai, Phoenix, The xx and Vampire Weekend.

In 2010 Hostess co-invested in a new innovative service-based company - Ynos Inc - which working closely with Hostess has helped to pioneer and grow the hugely influential Hostess Club live project, spear-headed by the triannual Hostess Club Weekender, 10 Hostess-released artists over 2 days on 1 stage in Tokyo, as well as Asian regional Hostess Club tours around each HCW. Ynos is also active in the publishing side representing publishers such as Strictly Confidential, Beggars Music as well as artists and writers such as Mogwai, Team Me and Hanni El Khatib, whilst the 2 companies have combined to deliver localised Asia-wide D2C releases for artists like Radiohead and Sigur Ros.

The company has been headquartered in the Nakameguro district of Tokyo for many years.
