Jody is the owner and operator of one of Canada?s premiere music production companies, Silent Joe. This Toronto based company writes, arranges and produces music for Film, Television Series, Television and Radio commercials. Silent Joe has added divisions to meet the challenges of Music Supervision and Music Editing, as well as developing a partnership with Harper Collins to produce Audio Books. The company also works extensively in record production. In fact, British music writers voted one of our record projects, an album by Mary Margaret O?Hara, as one of the top 100 albums of all time.

Silent Joe?s TV credits include ?Being Erica?, ?Lost Girl?, ?Billable Hours?, ?Spoiled Rotten', ?Wingin? It?, ?Combat Hospital?, ?Degrassi?, ?Instant Star?, ?Eerie Indiana?, ?Fast Track?, YTV?s “Goosebumps”, Disney?s “Harriet The Spy: Blog Wars”, as well as “Due South” and numerous Harlequin Movies of the Week, both for CBS. His company has also written and scored music for CBC Kids “Get Set For Life” morning block, “Maya Project” for Alias Wavefront, “Cell Damage” for Microsoft X-Box video games for Electronic Arts and 'Niagara's Fury', a Universal Studios-type attraction in Niagara Falls.

Silent Joe?s Film credits include Music Supervision for Sarah Polley?s ?Take This Waltz?; ?One Week? and ?Score: A Hockey Musical? for Mike McGowan and Bruce McDonald?s movies ?This Movie Is Broken? and ?Pontypool?.

In partnership with Harper Collins Publishing, Silent Joe has produced an impressive collection of over 55 audio books, including Helpless by Barbara Gowdy read by Lori Brown, Relentless by Ted Rogers, Lullabies for Little Criminals by Heather O?Neill (winner of the 2007 CBC Canada Reads Award), A Promise of Hope by Autumn Stringham, Remembering the Bones by Frances Itani and Who Owns Canada Now? by Diane Francis.
Additional examples of Audio Joe Inc.?s diverse portfolio of audio book productions include, Margaret Atwood?s Up in the Tree (Special Edition), Alan Cross? 20th Century Alt Rock (Volumes I-IV) and Peter Behren?s Law of Dreams (winner of the 2006 Governor General?s Literary Award for Fiction). AJI and Harper Collins have achieved the #1 overall audio CD twice- Alan Cross? 20th century Alt Rock and Yuk Yuk?s Guide to Canadian Stand-Up. ?Yuk-Yuk?s? was also the #1 Audio book for the 2009 Fall season outselling Dan Brown?s The Lost Symbol by a 4-1 margin. Alan Cross? 20th Century Alt Rock has also achieved tremendous success in the digital domain. It has been a #1 category bestseller in over 12 territories including Canada, USA, the UK and Japan. It became the #1 overall iTunes Canada audio book on its release.

Jody and his company have been voted top music production house in Canada three times, won every major award, including craft awards for Arrangement, Sound Design, and Composition. His Clients include: General motors (all divisions), The Federal and Provincial Governments, Labatt, Molson, American Express, Visa, Rogers, Bell, Canada and Ontario Tourism and a host of others.

Silent Joe work has ranged from collaborations with Ravi Shankar and the Moscow Symphony to Placido Domingo to corporate campaigns for Molson “I Am Canadian” featuring the now infamous ?Rant? Spot. The Company under Jody?s leadership has written, arranged or recorded for Ray Charles, Anne Murray, Bob Seger, Gordon Lightfoot, The Boomers, Alannah Myles, The National Ballet of Canada, and The London Symphony Orchestra.

Jody is also co-owner of a record company “The Orange Record Label” and state of the art recording studio ?The Orange Lounge? located in the heart of Downtown Toronto.

His Toronto Offices are in the centre of the Media Production district. We are a full service, Long and Short format, audio organization complete with state of the art midi equipment and digital recording studio.
