Quizumba / Kappamaki
Born in London, England spent his childhood living abroad in Eurpoe, South Africa and Japan. Has lived in Brazil for the past 25 years. He started his music career at EMI Music working in Brazil as international label manager, responsible for all international repertoire releases in South America. Shortly after transferred to London as marketing manger for all EMI and Capitol Records releases in South America, Africa and Asia.
Returned to Rio in 1986 as Director of Marketing for EMI Music South America, dealing with both international and domestic repertoire releases.
In 1991 left EMI to Assume the post of V.P of Warner Music Brasil.
In 1995 Simon left the recording industry to open up Kappamakki a production company with initial focus on the up and coming international touring market. Promoting and producing tours (Tears For Fears –Metallica - Iron Maiden - Lenny Kravitz - Michael Jackson - George Clinton - Chemical Brothers - UB 40 - Paul McCartney – Kraftwerk - David Bowie - Eric Clapton – Prince - Duran Duran - Rolling Stones - Simply Red – Seal - amongst others) and festivals ( Hollywood Rocks, Rock in Rio, Tim Music Festival)

Since 2000, Simon manages Brazilian Band Los Hermanos.
Kappamakki also works with several corporate clients organizing launches, parties, sales and marketing conventions and other events for The Coca Cola Company, British Airways, TIM, Souza Cruz, Philip Morris, Ambev, Vivo and Claro Mobile.

For the past eight years Kappamakki has been the music agency for Coca Cola Brazil coordinating, hiring and implementing the music platform including the world cup 2010 and the cocacolafm.com.br radio platforms.
