We are pleased to announce the following Co-chairs for Canadian Music Week 2014


Elliott Lefko, Goldenvoice Concerts

Elliott Lefko is vice president of Goldenvoice Concerts in Los Angeles. He has promoted tours for Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave. He is responsible for booking concerts in Southern California, Alaska, Hawaii and Canada. Among the recent concerts he has promoted are Morrissey, The Foo Fighters, Tegan And Sara, City & Colour, The Tragically Hip and Hayden.

Eric Alper, eOne Music Canada

Eric Alper is CTV's music correspondent and a regular contributor to CBC's The Strombo Show, Sirius/XM, TSN 660AM in Montreal, Country 92.9 in Chatham-Kent, DAWG FM in Ottawa among others. He has also been named to Billboard Magazine, Paste Magazine and The National Post's best on social media. With over 150,000 followers on Twitter, and 10,000+ friends/fans on Facebook while behind the board at, which now receives over 125,000 hits a week, he is one of the country’s authority on music.  During the day, he’s the Director of Media Relations and Label Acquisitions for eOne Music Canada, handling the PR for such artists as Bob Geldof, Randy Bachman, Ringo Starr, Slash, The Wiggles, Snoop Dogg, The Smashing Pumpkins, Ray Charles, Sinead O'Connor, Sesame Street among hundreds of others over his 20 years in the music industry.

J.J. Johnston, JJIMS Inc.

Jim (JJ) Johnston is the President and CEO of JJIMS Inc. JJ launched JJ International Media/Management Solutions July 1st of 2013 and has several high profile clients including Corus Entertainment. JJIMS is about “doing the bright things to help you expedite your business growth”. JJ has “lived” in Radio and Advertising/Marketing world for the past thirty-nine years. Before starting his own firm JJ’s previous positions included extremely successful runs as; GM of Corus Radio Ontario East, GM of Corus Radio Toronto, GM of Corus Radio Vancouver, VP/GM and P.D. of Mix 99.9 Toronto, VP of Programming for Standard Broadcasting, National Rock Program Director W.I.C., and National Program Director for Moffat Communications. He started his career on the air in Kingston at CKLC, and piloted the airwaves at legendary stations such as CFGO, CKLW, CFTR and CITI-FM.

Shauna De Cartier, Six Shooter Records

Shauna de Cartier founded Six Shooter Records in 2000. Her company has since released close to 100 albums by artists such as Whitehorse, Amelia Curran, the Deep Dark Woods, the Good Lovelies, Danny Michel and more. She also recently launched the Sleepwalk Guitar Festival in Toronto with curator Luke Doucet, and the smash hit Interstellar Rodeo, an Americana/Roots music festival in Edmonton, AB. Playing an active role in the industry, Shauna is the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA) and the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for the Radio Starmaker Fund. She has also recently been elected to the Board of Directors of the Nashville-based Americana Music Association. Shauna lives by the Six Shooter motto that “Life is Too Short to Listen to Shitty Music.”
