Tomorrowland Around The World was the most ambitious digital realization of a festival to date.

More than one million viewers tuned into the ambitious digital festival Tomorrowland Around The World, July 25-26.
People that would usually have to journey a long way to make it to Boom in Belgium, where Tomorrowland usually takes place, joined the pay-per-view event from countries including Japan and Mexico.
Weekend tickets were priced at €20, day-tickets went for €12,50, which is also the price to get access to the festival’s Relive platform, where the entire event can be viewed on demand.
Promoters didn’t want to share a breakdown of how many viewers purchased weekend and day tickets, respectively, with Pollstar at press time, seeing that the recording of Tomorrowland Around The World will be available on Relive until Aug. 12.
More than 60 artists recorded performances in four large green screen studios, located across the world. Artists from Europe recorded on the grounds of Tomorrowland in Boom, Belgium. Artists from North and Central America recorded their sets in Los Angeles, CA, Latin American artists went to a studio in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and Australian DJs recorded their performance in Sydney, Australia.
The lineup included, in alphabetical order, Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Armin van Buuren, Charlotte de Witte, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Dixon, Katy Perry, Kölsch, Lost Frequencies, Martin Garrix, NERVO, Paul Kalkbrenner, Steve Aoki, Tale of Us, Tiësto, Timmy Trumpet and more.

Aside from the concerts, the digital festival featured so-called Love Tomorrow Inspiration Sessions with international “thought leaders.” Speakers included will.i.am, Shaquille O’Neal, Ida Engberg, Prince Ea, and others.
