The Skatton Club is a Ska and Rocksteady Montreal group that was founded in 2010s, following a series of weekly “Dance Hall” shows in Montreal’s Ska scene. Led by veteran sax player, author, composer, performer André Désilets. Dédé as he is often refered to is a professional musician who has worked with just about eveyone in the Quebec and International scenes, from “Daniel Bélanger, Wesli, Mes Aïeux, Éric Lapointe, Patrice Michaud, The Wailers…”

Dédé bagan his Songwriter career with Malade Mantra who won the prestigious songwriter contest at the Granby International Songwriters Festival in 2004. Through the years, he slowly built and developed “Skatton Club” his solo project. With the help of his friends who are the cream of Montreal musicians, they began with performing covers of hits of the genre. As the live band established themselves, Dédé was writing his own composition in the style of early Jamaican Ska – Rocksteady music from the sixties, giving new life to this little-known style with French, English and instrumental compositions that ignited the Montreal nightclub scene during their frenzied performances. The music is Jazzy, Funky and danceable.

With their two demo recordings “Take one” 2012 “and” Flo with the Skatton Club “2017 They managed to sync some of the tracks on several television programs such ” OuiSurf “(2 seasons on Canal Évasion) and” Bouffe Montréal “(1 season on Canal Vie), the Skatton Club was being built little by little, with a refreshing and original identity, a killer horn section and an exciting solid rhythmic crew. Skatton Club’s first official EP will be released this fall through Mitsar Productions/Believe Digital. A second EP is set for release in 2020, Skatton club will support both release through extensive touring and showcases at key insustry events.
