Formerly Chief Executive Officer for Rogers Media’s Canadian Radio Portfolio of 53 radio stations, Paul is now Special Advisor to the President, Media, for Rogers, advising on strategic media issues. In 2014 Paul established a successful media consulting business with a focus on media research, media strategy and talent and management coaching.
An award-winning radio broadcaster, Paul is an industry leader with more than 30 years of radio and TV broadcasting experience. Prior to joining Rogers in 2008, Paul was President of CHUM and CTV’s radio divisions and a member of the senior management group. Recognized as a visionary in his field, Paul helped to revolutionize the radio industry advocating the use of research and strategic planning to develop strategies to successfully position and rebrand radio stations.
A highly sought-after speaker, Paul has spoken extensively on the current state and future of the broadcast industry at both industry and educational events.
In 2002, Paul received the British Columbia Association of Broadcasters Award of Excellence. Paul received the Allan Waters Lifetime Achievement Award and was inducted into the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame in 2014.
Paul has been active in the broadcast industry and community associations throughout his career. He is the former Chair of the CEO Radio Council, the CAB Radio Board, Canadian Broadcast Sales, BBM (Numeris) Radio Executive and Radio Technical Committees, and a Board Member of the RAB, CAB and BBM.
Paul has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Simon Fraser University, focusing on strategic business management and research.
