For more than thirty years Ross has held key programming, operations and senior management positions in Canadian radio working with some of the country’s largest broadcast companies. Ross started his career in Western Canada with Moffatt Communications and since moving to Toronto in 1979 has worked with Standard Radio, Canadian Satellite Radio, Astral Media Radio and CHUM Ltd. Ross spent more than twenty years at Chum Limited in various positions, including Vice President of Programming, CHUM Group Radio. Today Ross is the Director of Member Engagement - Radio for Numeris (formerly BBM Canada), the leading provider of TV, Radio and consumer audience research for Canadian broadcasters, advertisers and agencies.

Throughout his career Ross has won a number of awards including Station of the Year and Program Director of the Year. He served as Operations Manager and Program Director for CHUM FM during the 90’s helping it become the #1 ranked radio station in Canada. He is the co-creator of the original Jack/Bob variety hits format with the launch of Bob-FM in Winnipeg, Manitoba in the spring of 2002. Ross was part of the executive team at XM Satellite radio that launched Canada’s first satellite radio service in 2005.

He has held key positions in the radio and music industries including President of the Ontario Association of Broadcasters, inaugural chair of the Radio Starmaker Fund and 1st Vice President of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS). Ross is currently a member of MusiCounts, the music education advisory committee for CARAS, and sits on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Association of Broadcasters.

He is a regular key note speaker at radio and music industry conferences and has appeared before the CRTC on various industry initiatives.
