Leading the new BBC Music department, James is responsible for joining the BBC's music editorial across television, radio and online. Launched in October 2014, BBC Music is the BBC’s biggest commitment to music in a generation - with a host of new content, initiatives and events including the inaugural BBC Music Awards in December 2014.

James’ previous roles include running the UK’s biggest digital radio station, BBC Radio 6 Music and as an Executive Producer for both ABC in Sydney and at Europe's biggest radio station, BBC Radio 2. He has also worked within the BBC's renowned Music television department.
