Clive Dickens relocated from the UK to Australia in April 2013 to take the reigns as Director of Digital and Innovation at Southern Cross Austereo (SCA), overseeing strategic & operational aspects of the company's diverse and multifaceted digital content and platforms.

Clive’s career boasts over 30 years’ experience internationally in radio, which has taken him from New York to Los Angeles, Mumbai to Johannesburg and Budapest to Berlin , and not least heading up the world famous 95.Capital FM London as Group Head of Programmes.

In 2008 Clive co-founded Absolute Radio and took the hot seat as COO. Absolute Radio has a world leading reputation for digital & mobile innovation. Absolute Radio now has more than 77% of its listening via a digital platform. Pioneering the new 'In-Stream' premium marketing platform with over 900,000 subscribers, Absolute Radio has become one of the most awarded National Radio Station in Commercial Radio History picking up recognition from Marketing Society in London to Silicon Valley.

During his time at Absolute Radio, Clive also took on roles such as the Founding Director of UK Radio Player Ltd a joint venture between UK Commercial Radio and the BBC that is used each month by 6m Radio Listeners to simplify discovery of Broadcast Radio online Clive was until Feb this year a Trustee of The Radio Academy. The Radio Academy is a registered charity based in London and dedicated to the encouragement, recognition and promotion of excellence in UK radio broadcasting and audio production. Through an extensive conference program, debates, master classes and other networking events, The Radio Academy offers opportunities for everyone from national networks to individual podcasters to discuss the broadcasting, production, marketing and promotion of radio and audio.

Clive is proud to have helped launch Shazam in 2001 - a unique technology enabling music lovers to digitally identify tracks at any time using their mobile phone. Over a decade on, Shazam has been used by more than 700 million people in over 60 countries e. As SCA’s Director of Digital & Innovation, Clive is now working to build on the digital presence of the successful multi-platform media business, seeking to innovate digital radio executions, introduce new unique platforms for broadcast media and connect SCA’s brands through its extensive regional free-to-air TV, national radio, online and mobile networks.
