I was born in Myrnam, Alberta. I have a background in automotive mechanics and mechanical engineering. I graduated from Radio and Television Arts at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology with honors in 2006. I began my career at World FM in Edmonton as a practicum student and was hired into promotions/production at the end of the term. I moved onto The Bounce in Edmonton as a promotions coordinator... for literally six weeks. Apparently my calling was to go to Grande Prairie and help launch Q99 as an announcer and music director. I took parental leave shortly after arriving and we moved back to Edmonton and I found myself back at The Bounce in a music department volunteer role... which evolved into promotions then on air then music director. Had so much fun and learned so much! I applied for and got the assistant music director position at 99-9 Virgin Radio in Toronto in September 2010 and was promoted to music director in July 2012.
