Amanda Hackshaw

Amanda has been working in the Nettwerk publishing division, with a focus on royalty processing, since 2009. She joined Nettwerk as a Publishing Royalty Assistant and was promoted to Publishing Royalty Administrator in 2013. In 2016 she was promoted again to Manager of Publishing and Copyright, where she is responsible for managing the publishing catalogues, liasoning with their administrator, Kobalt Music, and analyzing royalty statements. Prior to moving to Vancouver, Amanda worked in Toronto, Ontario for Casablanca Media Publishing as a Publishing Coordinator. In the summer of 2007 she was a Publishing Intern at Casablanca, as well as a Media Relations Intern at Universal Music Canada.
Amanda’s education includes, most notably, a diploma in Music Industry Arts from Fanshawe College, London, Ontario, where she was the editor in chief of the Music Industry Arts newsletter. Upon graduating in 2008, she received the first Fred Sherratt Award from CARAS/MusiCounts for her leadership role at within the Music Industry Arts program. Prior to Fanshawe College, she attended the University of Guelph where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History.
Music has been a part of Amanda’s life for as long as she can remember. She began playing the piano at the age of seven. From twelve years of age and onward throughout middle and high school, she played the trombone in her school band in both concert and jazz styles. At sixteen she added violin to her roster.
