As Global Head of Trade Marketing, Leigh Morgan heads up a team of 35 Trade Marketing specialists internationally for leading independent distribution services company Believe. Based in London, Leigh has been working with Believe for over seven years and has been at the forefront of their international expansion, building and training Trade Marketing teams for each new office, which has now grown from four offices to over thirty. Leigh's team creates custom-made digital release strategies for artists & labels across all platforms increasing visibility, engagement, sales and streams. Working with artists & labels to build bespoke strategies for both new releases and catalogue.
Leigh's career in music began in 1997 through DJing, which secured him his first job at Defected Records. From there he moved in to physical distribution at dance specialist Amato Distribution, before moving on to head up the DJmag.com download service which was built by Beatport, the world's biggest Dance Specialist download store. Following this, Leigh ran his own Label Management and Social Media company, managing the day to day affairs of a number of labels, plus running social media campaigns for multiple labels, artists and brands.
Leigh joined Believe at the start of 2011 as an account manager and quickly moved on to take over retail Trade Marketing in the UK for all digital services, before then moving into the role of Head of International Trade Marketing in 2012.
