A China veteran of 20 years, Nathaniel stumbled into the music industry in 2001 when he became involved in organizing benefit concerts for UNICEF.

He is currently director of operations and a partner in music company Split United.

Over the last twelve years Split United has launched 4 festivals (including Concrete & Grass Music Festival and JUE | Music + Art Festival), created 2 online music communities, set up the first Asia-focused booking agency (Scorched), run over 400 tours to over 40 Chinese cities, and created some of the most iconic music based brand campaigns in China ever.

Among the acts promoted by Split include Mika, Sonic Youth, Death Cab for Cutie, The Lumineers, St. Vincent, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Jose Gonzalez, Grimes, Radwimps, Jason Mraz and many more.
