Russell Hergert directs and executes international music and media projects globally. He is a specialist in content development, executive production, international marketing, publishing and provides strategic planning and creative solutions in the entertainment field, and with agencies and brands alike. He connects the worlds of music, artists and new media across territories.

He was responsible for the early development and expansion of urban and electronic music in his native Canada, then across Continental Europe, and then Globally on behalf of Virgin/EMI, where he spearheaded new music strategies along with innovative signings and early brand integrations with artists. He was invited to work with the legendary Sir Coxsone Dodd, of Studio One Records in Kingston JA, on the development, preservation, publishing and digitisation of the world’s largest remaining independent catalog, later founding an international creative agency, a recording and publishing label, and a production company based in Zürich, Switzerland.

Currently as Vice President of International for Metropolis Group, he is developing new business strategies and expanding the reach of London's iconic studio complex, the largest in Europe.

Hergert was born in Canada, is multi-lingual and has lived/worked in eight cities around the world. He currently resides in Zürich working with clients in London, Berlin, Paris, Oslo, Los Angeles,
NYC and Toronto. He loves music.
