Jeff Roberto joined Shazam in September 2010, bringing over 15 years experience in marketing, social media, and product and business strategy.

At Shazam, Jeff is responsible for major consumer marketing initiatives, including driving customer acquisition, engagement, activity and retention through a wide variety of programs and partnerships. Jeff is based in Shazam’s Palo Alto, California office.

Prior to joining Shazam, Jeff was Senior Director, Marketing at Rivet Games and led web and mobile marketing strategies for Rivet’s FooPets social gaming product. He was also Marketing Director at Friendster for over 5 years. Jeff was part of the team that built Friendster into the largest social network in Asia and a top 10 website of globally in 2008, and successfully sold it to a large Asian media conglomerate in late 2009.

Earlier in his career, Jeff held marketing management positions at Roxio Inc, Napster, Priceline.com and Walker Digital, LLC. Jeff founded Internet radio site mixcycle.com in 1998 and was also Promotions Director for WHUS Radio, UConn.

Jeff holds a BA in Marketing and Communications from the University of Connecticut.
