2009 CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS
CO-CHAIRS ANNOUNCED FOR ROGERS MUSICSTORE CMW 2009

Julie Adam is the Vice President/General Manager and Program Director for 98.1 CHFI and Assistant National Program Director for Rogers. Born and raised in Toronto, Julie graduated from Ryerson with a B.A.A in Radio and Television. Julie's radio career began in 1990 at Q107, Toronto. Her first job was as an intern in the Music Department. From there, she moved to Z99 Regina as the Music Director and Weekend Swing Announcer. 2 years later Julie went to Ottawa to host the Overnight, then Evening Show on Energy 1200. In 1994, she returned to Toronto to help program the music for CISS FM Country and CMT Television. When CMT was sold by Rawlco, Julie became the Assistant Program Director and Director of Artist Relations for CISS FM. For the past 9 years, Julie has worked for Rogers Radio Toronto, first as the Program Director for KISS 92-5, and is currently with Toronto's #1 station, 98.1 CHFI.

Ralph James started his career as the bass player for CBS rock band Harlequin, touring North and South America for over a decade. Ralph helped foster The Agency Group’s Toronto office in 1996 with Neil Warnock and Jack Ross. He started with a small roster of established Canadian artists, but also signed then-unknown acts such as Nickelback, Three Days Grace, and Billy Talent, among others, who have since garnered great international success. In the same nature as the artists he’s developed, Ralph’s career has continued to flourish as he’s won multiple awards including Canadian Music Week’s Booking Agent of the Year Award five times. Most recently, Ralph has been nominated for the Bobby Brooks Agent of the Year Award at the 2007 and 2008 Pollstar Concert Industry Awards.

Time Magazine credited Chris Taylor as one of the “movers and shakers who are building the entertainment industry” and Billboard Magazine repeatedly cites him as one of the country’s most influential music lawyers. His clients include platinum recording artists, Nelly Furtado, Three Days Grace, Billy Talent and many others. He is the founder of Taylor Mitsopulos Klein Oballa, one of the country’s leading entertainment and new media law firms as well as the founder of Last Gang Entertainment, an internationally successful Canadian company working with Metric, The New Pornographers, Chromeo and Crystal Castles. In the early 90’s, Taylor was lead vocalist for Virgin recording artist, “One” – widely renowned as one of the country’s finest live acts.
